Sweet Pea III

A handmade wild sweet pea flower stem and vine tendril. These flowers grow prolifically on my fence each year. The romantic, old-fashioned blooms are so lovely and hold really well in a vase. These paper blooms will last even longer!

The painted wooden box is 6 x 9 inches and 1.5 inches deep. It is painted grey with a faint line running around the inside of the box to frame the flower. I have written the scientific name for this flower, Lathyrus latifolius, on a strip of paper and mounted it in the box with an antique brass label holder. There is hanging hardware on the back and it is signed. 

Each of my paper flowers is handmade with care and attention to detail. This sculpture is made from Italian crepe paper, wire, acrylic paint, and glue. The leaves are made from painted sketch book paper. Using high quality materials and careful techniques ensures that my flowers will last a long time. This flower has been sprayed with a UV protectant to prevent fading. I include care tips with each purchase.
