A stem of handmade Black-eyed Susans mounted in a shadow box. These flowers were copied from wild Black-eyed Susans growing on my property in rural Ontario. Black-eyed Susans are native late-summer wildflowers that grow abundantly in fields and ditches. They are also some of the latest blooms- I have seen one flowering in November!
The painted wooden box is 6 x 9 inches and 3/4 inches deep. It is black on the sides and back and cream inside. There is hanging hardware on the back and it is signed. This is a one of a kind piece.
Each of my paper flowers is handmade with care and attention to detail. This flowers and leaves are made from crepe paper. Using high quality materials and careful techniques ensures that my flowers will last a long time. I also include a care sheet with each purchase. This unique shadow box would make a fun addition to a cabinet of curiosities, a bookshelf, or an art collection. I welcome custom orders for paper flowers; these shadowboxes make a wonderful, thoughtful gift (especially to someone named Susan!).
