These are handmade paper plums with a branch of plum blossoms, mounted in a shadow box. We have a plum tree right outside our dining room window and I love to look at it in all seasons. I am always amazed at the magical transformation that takes place from flowers to fruit. I decided to include both the flowers and the fruit in the box to highlight that magic. I painted the "cut" side of the plum on watercolour paper. This is a part of my fruit series. 

The painted wooden box is 6 x 9 inches and 1 1/2 inches deep. It is black inside and out. There is hanging hardware on the back and it is signed. 

Each of my paper flowers is handmade with care and attention to detail. This sculpture is made from crepe paper, watercolour paper, wire, paint and glue. Using high quality materials and careful techniques ensures that my flowers will last a long time. I also include care tips with each purchase. This unique shadow box would make a fun addition to a cabinet of curiosities, a bookshelf, or an art collection.
