Wild Strawberry

A botanical illustration made 3D! This paper sculpture depicts a wild strawberry plant and flowers. I made one of the flowers larger to show the details of the bloom. The strawberry plant features a tiny unripe strawberry, buds, flowers, and leaves. Everything is handmade out of paper. I have included a label stating the plant name both in English and in Latin.

The wooden shadow box frame is 14 x 12 inches and 2.5 inches deep. The inside of the frame is painted off-white. There is hanging hardware on the back and it is signed. 

Each of my paper flowers and leaves are handmade with care and attention to detail. These flowers are made from Italian crepe paper, while the leaves are cardstock painted with acrylic paint. Using high quality materials and careful techniques ensures that my flowers and leaves will last a long time. This piece has been sprayed with a UV protectant spray. I include care tips with each purchase. This unique shadow box would make a fun addition to a cabinet of curiosities, a bookshelf, or an art collection.
