Dahlia II

A handmade paper red dahlia with leaves. The colour is the most brilliant magenta red. I grew these dahlias all around my garden this summer and so was compelled to copy one in paper.

The painted wooden box is 6 x 9 inches and 1.5 inches deep. It is painted a beautiful deep teal blue/grey with a faint line running around the inside of the box to frame the flower. There is hanging hardware on the back and it is signed. 

Each of my paper flowers is handmade with care and attention to detail. This sculpture is made from Italian crepe paper, wire, acrylic paint, and glue. Using high quality materials and careful techniques ensures that my flowers will last a long time. This flower has been sprayed with a UV protectant to prevent fading. I include care tips with each purchase.
