Japanese Anemone

Paper Japanese Anemone in a grey shadow box. Japanese Anemones grow beautifully tall and elegant in my part-shade garden. I just couldn't resist making this full stem out of paper. This plant includes buds, leaves, blooms, and a spent flower. I made the flowers from fine crepe paper painted with watercolour. The leaves are made from acid free heavy art paper painted with acrylic. The box is wooden, 16 x 12 inches, and includes hanging hardware (wire and rings) on the back for hanging.
