Black-Eyed Susan
Handmade paper Black-Eyed Susans with leaves mounted on a round plaque. The name and scientific name (Rudbeckia hirta) are written along the bottom edge of the plaque. There are five flowers. I cut and shaped each flower petal by hand. Black-Eyed Susans are some of our most glorious native wildflowers. They bloom from early July to well after the frost.
The lightweight plaque is painted grey. There is hanging hardware on the back and it is signed.
Each of my paper flowers is handmade with care and attention to detail. This sculpture is made from crepe paper, wire, acrylic paint, and glue. Using high quality materials and careful techniques ensures that my flowers will last a long time. These flowers have also been sprayed with a UV protectant to prevent fading. I include care tips with each purchase. This unique shadow box would make a fun addition to a cabinet of curiosities, a bookshelf, or an art collection. I welcome custom orders for paper flowers.
