A paper sculpture of two blazing star or liatris flowers. These were the most labour intensive flowers I have ever made!!! I used crepe paper to make the florets and the leaves are made from drawing paper and acrylic paint. This bloom is mounted herbarium-style on a wooden board for display. It is 12" x 6". A label with both the common and scientific names is mounted below the flower. This piece has a "D" ring on the back for hanging, and it is signed. Each of my botanical sculptures has been sprayed with a UV protectant spray and comes with care information.
