A paper sculpture of a meadow paintbrush. Also called Indian Paintbrush, these colourful wildflowers are native to Western North America. I used painted crepe to make the flowers and the leaves are made from drawing paper and acrylic paint. This bloom is mounted herbarium-style on a wooden board for display. It is 12" x 4 1/4". A label with both the common and scientific names is mounted below the flower. This piece has a "D" ring on the back for hanging, and it is signed. Each of my botanical sculptures has been sprayed with a UV protectant spray and comes with care information.
