Pasqueflower

A paper sculpture of a pasqueflower. Also called Pulsatilla, this pretty native wildflower is one of the earliest to bloom. I used crepe paper, drawing paper and acrylic paint. The stems are made hairy with wool! This tiny bloom is mounted herbarium-style on a wooden board for display. It is 8" x 3 1/2".
A label with both the common and scientific names is mounted below the flower. This piece has a "D" ring on the back for hanging, and it is signed. Each of my botanical sculptures has been sprayed with a UV protectant spray and comes with care information.
