Yellow Lady's Slipper

A paper sculpture of a yellow lady's slipper. These magnificent wildflowers bloom each June in the forest near my cabin. It is a real thrill to go and find them. I used Japanese paper to make the flower and the leaves are made from drawing paper and acrylic paint. This bloom is mounted herbarium-style on a wooden board for display. It is 12" x 5". A label with both the common and scientific names is mounted below the flower.
This piece has a "D" ring on the back for hanging, and it is signed. Each of my botanical sculptures has been sprayed with a UV protectant spray and comes with care information.
